Stage 5 of the 2010 FBD Rás will finish in Carrick on Suir on Thursday 27th May, and what a spectacular finish it will be, because when the cyclists enter town from the Dungarvan Road into Carrickbeg, they will take a sharp left and race up the leg breaking Seskin Hill to the stage finish at the top !

The Dan Morrissey Carrick Wheelers club promoted a full programme of races on Sunday last to honour the memory of their former chairman and president Tommy Sheehan, and this consisted of five separate races for all grades which started and finished on the Coolnamuck road in Carrickbeg.

John Dempsey Dan Morrissey Carrick Wheelers claiming Stage 1 of 2010 Rás Chonamara The club gained their second and third successes of the season thanks to John Dempsey’s rewarding victories in the Rás Chonamara 2-Day event. This 3 stage affair promoted by Galway Bay CC consisted of two 80km road stages separated by a 5km time trial.
