Once again, the sun shone in Faugheen for the first road race in the league comprising of three laps of the ‘Faugheen 50’ motorcycle circuit. Tomás Lacey of Deerpark took full advantage of a generous handicap to build up a commanding lead and hold his advantage all the way to the finish.

John O’Brien took the spoils for Dan Morrissey in last Sundays Bill Hyland Memorial hosted by Clonmel CC. Johns success was just one of many on a day where the club showed its strength in all categories, utterly dominating each event.
There was a total of five races contested across all grades in the annual Silver Pail Grand Prix in Fermoy on Sunday last, and with Dan Morrissey Carrick Wheelers providing three of the winners, it must go down as one of the most successful day’s racing in the clubs recent history.
Dan Morrissey braved the elements on Sunday last on a wet and windy day in Whitechurch Co. Cork. Their efforts were not to be in vain however.
Dan Morrissey went nationwide for the easter weekend with riders representing the club in Ulster and Munster. Most notable was the seemingly unstoppable Sam Bennett who took an astonishing 5th place in the Tour of the North whilst representing the Ireland Junior team.
