Sam Bennett was yet again the class of the field this weekend in the Des Hanlon Classic in Carlow on Sunday afternoon. Sam along with rival, Philip Lavery chased down the break containing teammate Martin O’Loughlin on lap 1 of 2 and put in a fantastic show to take first place overall with Martin taking 3rd.
Sam Bennett’s season has certainley gotten off to a flyer with a win in the combined race in Navan last week and a stunning victory at the weekend in the Senior 1 Mick Cahill Memorial Race in Banteer.
A great result from Joe Fenlon in the Newbridge Credit Union GP earlier today. Joe was able to go with the race winning break which went away on the very first climb on lap one.
