Well done to Paul Flynn who won his first race as a member of Carrick Wheelers this week by winning Round 3 of the Altitude Summer Series promoted by Comeragh CC. In this handicapped event the three groups merged on the last of the three laps, and the resulting bunch sprint ended with the Portlaw man powering his way to the finish line first!
This win was truly well deserved as the Carrick Wheelers rider has produced many good results so far this year but the win had evaded him until now.
Flynn is now in an excellent position to go on to win the 2011 Altitude Summer Series, which is run on a points basis each week for ten weeks until this July.
