Carrick Wheelers Junior rider Seán Hahessy got back to winning ways on Sunday when he romped home in front to claim the Tralee Manor West GP. With his exams out of the way for now, Seán is devoting much more time to the bike, and with the fantastic weather of late, these long training spins seem to be paying off. Fresh from the recent Junior Tour of Ireland Sean seems to have found good form which should see some more results before the summer ends.
Writing in his own blog, Seán described the race long breakaway where he ground-down and ultimately dispatched his fellow escapees – Stephen Shanahan riding for Limerick and Cathal O’Donovan of Blarney CC -to take a confidence boosting result that will hopefully see him end his final Junior season on a high.
