On Saturday 14th November, the Cycling Ireland AGM will take place at the Cavan Crystal Hotel in Cavan town. Outgoing President Micheal Concannon of Killorglin will step down after 5 years in the job. The only candidate for President is our own Rory Wyley who has been the Honorary Treasurer of the federation for the last few years.
Rory will become the third member of our club to hold the highest office in Irish cycling. The late Tommy Sheehan was President of the National Cycling Association in the 70’s and Billy Kennedy was President of the Federation of Irish Cyclists in the early 90’s.
All of us in the club are very proud of Rory’s achievements to date and wish him all the best in this onerous position.
