More Silverware in Whitechurch

By April 2, 2008 Race Reports

Dan Morrissey braved the elements on Sunday last on a wet and windy day in Whitechurch Co. Cork. Their efforts were not to be in vain however.

Martin O’Loughlin dominated the combined race, taking an easy win the end whilst recent Triathlon convert, Cathal McCarthy also put in a super ride to take a fine 4th place.

In the meantime over in the A/B race, Sam Bennett was showing his class in a high calibre field. Riding at the front of the break to eventually beat Ciaran Power for second place overall,  coming in just behind winner Michael Concannon of Kilorglin.

Another superb weekend for the club. Well done to everyone who was brave enough to tough out those conditions to take part on the day. A very special thanks to photographer, Emma Walsh of Dungarvan CC for the spectacular photos more of which can be seen in the Image Gallery section of the website. Much appreciated Emma.
