Corkman 3 Day

The club retained the Corkman 3 day title won last year by Sam Bennett in fine style. Martin O’Loughlin started the day in yellow and with a lot of strong riders close on GC knew that it would take a huge team effort to take home the silverware. By all accounts Dan Morrissey produced an exceptional team ride to ensure that the race stayed together for a bunch sprint where Martin was just edged into second by Daniel Clifford of Kilorglin. In the end however Martin remained in yellow and adds another big result to his palamares for the year. Well done to the entire team.

Tour of Ulster

Joe Fenlon has been on fire all weekend in Omagh and went into todays stage in 4th place. In a race that largely stayed together until the closing stages Joe stayed out of trouble to ensure that he retained 4th place. Considering the high calibre of the competition this was an amazing result with Joe easily being the highest placed B, although if I am not mistaken that A license is surely now signed, sealed and delivered and it didn’t take long either ! Rory Wyley had a great ride today to finish up 10th overall on the GC and the runaway victor in the Veteran category.

Photos on their way from Sinead Power and others, please check back in the next couple of days..
