Bobby Power Memorial 2025 – Results & Recap

Panduit Carrick Wheelers Cycling Club hosted the annual Bobby Power Memorial race on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, in Clonea Power. First held in 1955, this prestigious event remains a highlight of the Irish cycling calendar, drawing top riders from across the country.

A total of 122 cyclists lined up for what proved to be one of the most thrilling editions of the race in years. With 17 riders still in contention for the win with just 10km to go, the race delivered an electrifying finale.

Main Race – Bobby Power Memorial (C1)

1st – Con Scully (Dan Morrissey Carlow)
2nd – Ruairí Byrne (UCD Cycling Team)
3rd – Paul Kennedy (Team Skyline)
5th & First Local Rider Home – Patrick O’Loughlin (Panduit Carrick Wheelers C.C)

Past Members Memorial Cup (C2) – In Memory of Pat Nugent

1st – Matthew Wall (Lucan Cycling Road Club)
2nd – Daragh Byrne (Asvillemur Cyclisme, France)
3rd – Ben Murphy (Sliabh Luachra Cycling Club)

Tommy Sheehan Memorial (C3)

1st – Daniel Stone (Roadman Cycling Club)
2nd – Jorge Rua Riviera (Bray Wheelers)
3rd – John Mason (All Human Velo Revolution)

Women’s Race Podium

1st – Aoife O’Donovan (Dungarvan Cycling Club)
2nd – Rhiannon Dolan (TC Racing)
3rd – Amy Flavin (Dungarvan Cycling Club)

With thrilling breakaways, intense sprint finishes, and a dramatic battle to the line, this year’s Bobby Power Memorial Race was one to remember. Congratulations to all riders for making it another spectacular day of racing.
