The good news is that Sam Bennett is back on the exercise bike following his accident. His collarbone is knitting slowly. He has limited mobility of his left leg, but is undergoing physiotherapy and is up to 30 minutes of easy pedalling. In time, he should make a full recovery.

Sam Bennett was involved in the first major accident of his career when he was in collision with a car on Friday outside of Windgap, Co. Kilkenny. It is with sadness that we learned of the death of Mrs. Ellen Dunne in Co. Wexford. Mrs. Dunne was the mother of our former Club Chairman Mick Dunne. We extend our sympathy to the Dunne family at this sad time. Club members travelled to both the removal and the burial in The Ballagh Church, Co. Wexford.

This Saturday, August 29th, Dan Morrissey Carrick Wheeler’s member Colin Simpson will cycle the entire the length of the River Suir in order to raise much needed funds for the Carrick-on-Suir River Rescue.  His charity cycle which begins at the river’s source at the Devil’s bit in Tipperary, ending in Cheekpoint Co.
